Change in Venue for 2022!

Dear NerdcampNNE community, due to an unforseen conflict with our current venue, Freeport High School, NerdcampNNE will be moved to The University of Southern Maine Gorham campus on the same date, Sept. 24, 2022. We are excited to co-host NerdcampNNE with The University of Southern Maine Department of Literacy, Language & Culture.

If you have already secured lodging in Freeport, you could certainly keep your reservation. Gorham is approximately 40 minutes away. Gorham is also less than 30 minutes to Portland and other popular Maine locations like Old Orchard Beach and has lots of lunch options. We have also listed some nearby lodging options on our lodging page. website.

While the venue will be different, we are dedicated to providing our campers with an engaging and energizing day of professional learning. #nerdcampnne #nerdcampnne2022

NerdCampNNE Social Media Event August 2021

We sure do miss being able to be together in beautiful Freeport, Maine to deepen and extend our learning side-by-side. However, the health and safety of our nerdy colleagues and communities is of the utmost importance to us. Therefore we have decided not to host Nerdcamp Northern New England in person this September. We also realize that many educators need a break from live video meetings and events. After much consideration, the committee has decided to host a 4-day social media NerdcampNNE event.

Let's help each other start the 2021-2022 school year off right!

From August 2-5 we will post a focus topic on the Nerdcamp NNE Facebook and Twitter pages. Colleagues can respond and share their thoughts, links, and photos by commenting on the post or in their own original post. We will be using the hashtag #Nerdcampnne2021.

All commenters will be entered to win a pre-selected picture book, lower middle grade or upper middle grade book stack (5 books). 3 winners will be drawn on Friday, August 6. Books will be mailed directly to the winners (US only).
